Meet our Founder

Jasmine Newson is a speaker, writer, humanitarian, and social entrepreneur committed to service, youth development, and mental wellness. As a past Teach for America Corps Member in Charlotte, Jasmine has worked in multiple avenues to close the opportunity gap in education. She continued her passion for developing youth in underserved areas by working as a Case Worker for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater St. Louis. She has traveled to over 15 countries and has devoted much of her time embracing every culture she has experienced. As the current Deputy CEO of Destination Impact and Project Lead for 4 international trips, she has coupled her love for traveling and service by leading travelers to help under-resourced communities across the African Diaspora. 

As an advocate for mental wellness in women, she created a blog titled JNewWisdom: The Revelations of a Millennial Woman and loves the ability to be transparent with her journey in hopes to inspire others on their own. She is currently founding her own nonprofit, You See Beyond helping young people see beyond their realities to identify their purpose. Most recently, Jasmine has used her passion for educational equity and started a new role with Teach For America as a Recruitment Manager. In this role, she identifies top leaders to join the movement for educational equity in our country. She remains focused on her purpose and is devoted to impacting communities both locally and globally.
